PSP Bluetooth Audio Dongle

Chinese electronics company EverE has listed a Bluetooth audio dongle for the PSP on their site. The dongle apparently runs along the bottom of the PSP, allowing owners to use any of the emerging crop of Bluetooth wireless headphones.

Stuck Pixel Fixer v.01 in HTML

This program works by trying to stimulate stuck (not dead) pixels that show up as an off-color when it should be something else (ie: showing up as red when it should be another color). Unlike previous stuck pixel fixing techniques, this one is written in html.

Sony Orders Huge Flash Chips to Target 20 Million PSPs

Samsung has just negotiated a contract to supply NAND flash memory chips to Sony. The order from Tokyo-based Sony will be exceeding the value of Samsung’s sales to Apple Computer. This due to Sony’s expectation to sell about 20 million PSP next year.

Xbox 360 Hacked Through a PSP?

An amusing Microsoft-beating video has appeared on the Web which purportedly shows the Xbox 360 being hacked via a Sony PSP. A comment on the site said,”It looks like he’s launching a program from the memory stick that is on the PSP to the Xbox 360″

PSP on Track to Ship 6 Million in North America

Sony Computer Entertainment America appears to have confirmed that the company is still on track to ship six million units of the PlayStation Portable console to retailers in North America by the end of the year. However, there has been some confusion about whether Hirai was referring to installed base or shipments of consoles.

Kojima Reveals Metal Gear Solid PSP

Hideo Kojima has revealed plans to release a PSP Metal Gear Solid game. It is primed to arrive in Japan mid-way through 2006. It’s being touted as a completely new iteration of the series; not a remake. “It’s totally new” Kojima said, “Even though it’s only on PSP, it’s going to be pretty amazing.”

Interview with GTA Exploit, Fanjita

PSPEmulation sent us an email saying that they have an exclusive interview with Fanjita, the man behind the Hello World for GTA which demonstrates the firmware exploit possibilities. However Fanjita said, “Considering that the piracy issue is why Sony try so hard to block homebrew, you can understand why I don’t want to encourage it”
