More details on Korean browser
Tantalizing article over at Impress Watch that gives more details on the upcoming launch of the PSP browser for the Korean market. Sony, in a partnership with the local Korean phone company (KT), will provide services (portals) called PSP Club and NESPOT. It’s going to be launched May 2nd and will be free up until the end of July, after which it will cost 5,000 won (approximately US$5) a month. Rollouts of the service to other countries are still undecided. Judging by the screen shots here and here, it looks like the browser integrates well with the rest of the system and allows playback of audio and video media within a page. Hopefully, that won’t mean it’s based on strongly proprietary technology and it still will be able to access other content on the Web - [source: Impress Watch, Japan]
