Sony PSP for Home Remote Control

Using the PSP’s browser and internet connection, SkipJam iMedia users can now control any device in their home. The SkipJam iMedia software provides custom web pages which allow the PSP to function as a wireless remote for TVs, DVDs, Stereos, lighting and other consumer electronics.

With this new option, SkipJam iMedia users can use the PSP to browse through their digital recorded content and select music, photos or videos to play in any room. Favorite song play lists DVDs or recorded TV shows and movies can be “bookmarked” for quick access, and users can easily switch playback to and from any room with the iMedia “follow me” feature.

“Supporting the PSP is part of our ongoing commitment to provide our users with a wide array of control options,” said Michael Spilo, CEO of SkipJam. “We want our users to be able to pick up any portable device and use it as an integral part of their whole-house experience.”

Price and Availability:
The PSP Interface requires PSP firmware version 2.0 available from Sony at no charge, and is available to SkipJam users as a free upgrade. Existing users can upgrade their firmware, and new products will incorporate the PSP interface option at no additional cost.
